With the Winter 2021 recruitment just around the corner, the sisters at Alpha Phi wanted to extend some of their most helpful tips to potential new members looking to join!
1. Be yourself!
This one may seem super obvious, but being honest about yourself is the best way to connect with other sisters.
2. Attend as many events as you can.
Recruitment events can really help you learn more about Alpha Phi ideals, and the other sisters. Attending these meetings can help you feel more comfortable with this new environment!
3. Don't be afraid to ask questions!
If you're feeling unsure about anything, ask us about it! Any of our sisters would be happy to help to the best of their abilities.
4. Keep an open mind.
Alpha Phi has a lot to offer for everyone! Take the time to understand the ideals, meet new people, and understand what Alpha Phi truly stands for.
5. Don't be too hard on yourself.
Recruitment is just a time for active sisters to get to know who you are. Try to be your genuine self. This is meant to be a positive environment!
6. Reach out!
After each event if you are left with any questions or concerns, you can always reach out to one of our sisters or our social media accounts. We are always here to help with any concerns you may have.
7. Know that we are all going through the same thing.
If you feel a bit awkward throughout the process, that is totally okay. This is a new experience for many of us as well, and we are all just trying our best!
8. Get Excited!
We are all so excited to meet new girls and it is such an amazing experience to go through recruitment! Be yourself, be honest, and don't be afraid, we are here to help!
